Sunrise at Cronulla Beach in Sydney. To me it looked like the two fishermen were fishing in the clouds so they must have been fishing for angels.
This shot was approx 8 minutes @ f8, ISO 200 with ND4 grad filter. / Taken about half an hour before sunrise at Sandgate, Qld. / I calculated the exposure by taking a shot at f4 ISO 3200 and multiplying it out.

Early morning shoot at Wainuiomata Beach, the end of the world, not quite but the next stop is the south pole, wind that will slice your ears off and sand/gravel that will sand bast your car, not a place to swim. image taken on a Nikon D700 with a Tamron 17-35mm lens. I consider this to be my best work from 2008. Just had this done as a large canvas, just stunning. After the wild weather and huge sea’s Qld experienced in May 2009, I wanted to see how much the beach erosion had exposed the old Dicky Beach shipwreck. To my amazement the whole rear hull was now fully visible to the point where you can see woodwork in the bottom of the hull. Also one side of the rear has now fallen in. PLEASE VIEW LARGE.
For some time now I’ve been besotted by Mel Brackstone’s SS Dicky images. She generously shares much information about how she gets such remarkable images, like this for example / I finally bought some NDgrad filters and this and my next image are my first attempts to use them to capture the movement of the ocean, I have much to learn. Thanks for the inspiration and advice Mel. Canon 450D ISO100 F5.6 6/10s f18mm (Cokin 121s ND Grad)

Would you dare to venture into the unknown dangers lurking beneath? Turimetta Beach at sunrise.
Shot on a shoot earlier this year with Henk Stolk at Wainuiomata beach, south cost north island new Zealand, great location but not for the feint hearted. Shot on a Nikon D700 with 17-35mm Nikkor Lens / Henk Stolk Orange
Turrimetta Beach on Sydney’s north shore. The sunrise had sone its thing and the cloud had put a thin layer of puffy clouds in the way of it making a soft light so I put the grad ND and ND8 silters on and stalked the waves. The beach at this point had flat rocks just under the sand so my tripod could hold on to something solid.I think about 3 second exposure.
A similar shot to one I have uploaded previously, however I spent more time processing this until it came out how I remembered it. Canon Eos 5D, TS-E 24mm, 8 seconds at f22. 1.2ND and 0.9 hard grad.
A dirty dawn at Coledale Beach South of Sydney. ND8 and about 2.5 seconds gave this result
