I caught this image in my eye when enjoying the Crookwell Wind Farm near Goulburn in the NSW Southern Highlands. The old ruined windmill in the bottom left of the image seemed like an old relict in the shadow of these engineered wind turbines! For better viewing, click on ‘view larger’.

The sign used to have an add for accomodation in it however, the advertising has been removed but the signposting still stands. It provides the perfect opportunity to create a ‘view within a view’. I placed my Wattle Flowers image over the corrugated iron in the frame and reduced the opacity. Then I added a noisy border to the wattle flowes and toned it to match the “coppers logs” frame of the signboard. Image taken on vacant land along the Castlereagh Highway at Ben Bullen, NSW Australia in the Blue Mountains. Wattle Flower Card Steel Flowers / The original image /

A wet weather visitor the other night on the glass door…a green Tree Frog!!
I’d taken this image quiet awhile ago…thick fog was lying low over the land ..and the sun had risen through its layers…to reveal the valley still hidden….
Captured with Canon 5Dmk2 and 100m prime at f2 1/1250 ISO100. This delightful and serene man often sits reading his text, I have wanted to photograph him a number of times but can’t carry my gear with me whilst at work. He can’t speak english but nodded and posed when I showed him my camera. The thing that struck me about this gentleman was the serene aura he had about him – I hope the photo conveys a sense of that to you.
Reggie my Australian Koolie working dog, doing what he does best!
A salute from a typical Aussie character! A “bushie” controlling his draught horses with one hand, waving to me with the other!
