this is a refresh of something i drew when i was 16… and my girlfriend lived 3000 miles away… thankfully, 8 years later… this is not the case. (same girlfriend! same house! no longer 16!) // ...and best wishes to all of you who know that sense of longing. // some of my other work:

Don’t look for meaning.
Today I took Ty to the zoo…poor Ty couldn’t work out why he wasn’t allowed to have any fun…I mean why CAN’T you ride the Wallabies like a horse…or play with the Silverback Gorilla or even pat the Egyptian Cobra? I was able to get a few moments to snap some pictures and this was one of them. How amazing is this gorgeous creature? Ty refers to them as a Raf – and apart from the turtles (yes we went all the way to the zoo and he loved the turtles!!) they were his favourite animal. (c) Sarah Moore 2009
One of a series of small sections of natural objects, this abstract image is patterned on a high aerial view of a distant landscape. / (actually part of a tree trunk where the bark has been torn away. Weathered and attacked by insects)

I am longing for summer. To see the little delights that it has to offer. /
A triptych of close up images of my Framus hollow body electric guitar.
Another shot of my Framus hollow body guitar.
A digital manipulation of a close-up photo I took of my old Framus hollow-body electric guitar in the makeshift “studio” I created in my basement using a large piece of cloth draped over two microphone stands with a halogen work light I bought at the local hardware store behind it to create a poor man’s softbox. / / / original photo / / In the original photograph it was very noticeable that I did not clean the guitar before taking the shot. I used the dust and scratches filter in Adobe PhotoShop CS4 to hide all the dirt spots, but of course this gave the image a surreal feeling, and that is what you see here.

This is the Father of the singer in my band, Under Pressure. The band was invited to the singer’s family reunion and I took this shot of her Father while he was playing on their front porch. This is a “right from the camera” hand-held shot of one of the wharfs on the Halifax waterfront in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. I had to use an ISO setting of 1600. Really wish I had brought along my tripod, but it was back home, so I had to make do without it.
