Inviting entries for the RedBubble book — “Compassion”. If your work is published you will receive $US100 to purchase from the amazing works at RedBubble.
» The Publication
“Compassion” is RedBubble’s 3rd Quarterly Publication. A premium, limited edition book containing the finest selection of writing and art on the net.
In “Compassion” we want to shine the light on ordinary and extraordinary kindness. In the words of the Desiderata “many persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism.”
Submit writing and images that illuminate the idea of compassion.
» Categories
The publication will be a mix of written and visual work:
- Poetry: Poems of under 500 words.
- (very) Short Stories: Short stories of under 500 words
- Photography
- Non-photographic digital images: includes digital art and graphic design
- Originals: scanned paintings and illustrations
You can submit work of any of these types. All works must be on the theme of “Compassion”.
Judging. The editors, with assistance of external judges, will select overall the works for publication.
Works will be selected on how well they illuminate the theme “Compassion” and quality.

- Add your work to RedBubble
- Join the group “Compassion”
- Add your work to the group “Compassion”
» Rules and Entry – It’s pretty simple:
- You enter by signing up to RedBubble, joining the group “Compassion” and adding your work to this group.
- Closing date is Wednesday 16 July 2008.
- Up to 2 visual works and 2 written works (maximum of 4 in total) may be entered per member.
- Images must be of sufficient resolution to be published in a high quality book (approx 4 megapixels or capable of being sold as a small print on RedBubble).
- All prizes are in the currency of United States Dollars (or at applicable exchange rate as determined by RedBubble).
- RedBubble is granted a non-exclusive license to publish all winning entries in the publication.
- Book on sale in August 2008.
- Judging will be undertaken by RedBubble and Judges, no correspondence entered into.
- You agree to the RedBubble terms and conditions when you sign up and upload your entry.
You explicitly retain the copyright over your work.
