Images Needed - Goals to Aim for

Julie Langford Julie Langford 5322 posts

I would eventually love to see every species of primate in this group – a very tough call I know, but boy would that be awesome or what.

I will be compliling a list [below] for people to look through and perhaps work towards as well.

Hopefully, time allowing, I will be able to make it like a database, where information about each primate can be viewed as well, and perhaps set challenges to go get that shot that the group so desperately needs of the lesser photographed primates.

Please check back regularly as the lists are added and updated

The Apes Gorillas, Chimpanzees, Bonobos, Gibbons, Orangutans and Humans
11/20 included so only 9 needed

Leaf Eating Monkeys Colobus, Leaf Monkeys, Langurs, Snub – nosed Monkeys and the Proboscis
8/37 included so 29 left to find

The Guenons Wolf Monkey, De Brazza, Mona Monkey etc
7/21 included so 14 left to find

The Cheek Pouch Monkeys Macaques, Mandrillus, Mangabeys, and Vervet
18/35 included so 17 left to find

The Cebids Night Monkeys, Titi monkeys, Capuchins, Squirrels monkeys, Sakis, Uacaris, Howlers, Spider and Woolly monkeys
12/50 included so another 38 to find

Got a couple on your Wish List, one of which will be coming shortly. Her mate was also photographed by his eyes are deeply disturbing; he knows what I was doing and obviously resented it. Anyway, you now have another of the Great Apes: a Sumatran orangutan. Woo hoo!

Be well.

So.. where would the Lemur family go (and that would include the Sifikas, Indri and a few others)? They are part of the primate enclave…

Julie Langford Julie Langford 5322 posts

Yes Barbara – The list is only half finished [little fingers against the clock LOL], but they will be completed soon and all links will be updated, including your super Sifika.

Hi, I’m new how do I submit pics to the group? Got some Red Colobus not great but ok. Also Some more Western Lowland Gorillas.

Julie Langford Julie Langford 5322 posts

Hi Sheila, as long as you have joined the group you can add images. Open up the image in your edit profile [where you type a description etc] – under that, there will be a list of groups that you are a member of – look for the Primates group, tick the box and scroll to the bottom and click on Save Changes. It will then come into the approval tab where a group host will pick it up and allow it into the group.

Cant wait to see those Red Colobus, we havent got one iin the group yet.
