Feedback on "Faux Miami Beach"

Hello, everyone. This is a recent post I placed on Red Bubble that’s entirely Photoshop. It is a digital painting of a beach scene in Miami Beach. The colors are brighter than the original picture, because that is my slant and I like giving it an Art Deco feel. I used a couple of filter to obtain texture of the sand and sea. However by and large, it is paintbucket, airbrush, pen tool. In your look at this, if there is any suggestion I could get on creating the best effect for beach sand, besides the Noise filter over a solid color base.

this has a very 40’s/50’s feel to it. :D
for texture…. hmmm… I normally use a filter that resembles stone or something… reduce the transparency of that layer and place a solid color layer under it to see what it looks like… if it looks okay then I merge those two layers… if it doesn’t i keep on experimenting…

I like it. Not sure about the sand, but it’s cool overall.

the feet on the right looks like the person has no tonails.. in sunlight this area would be ..a tad lighter then the skin tone.

challeging composition with the vertical cut made by the umbrella pole which I suggest may also be brought in front of the leg and fully to the foreground. Minor detail. The image is great, the light, clarity and sharpness suits the content perfectly. I love the marks on the sand, it adds life to an otherwise flat area. Well done.
