Wow, I finally made something again. I’d been feeling rather uninspired for a while. It’s good to be creating again. / Autumn is my favorite season, I always get excited in the fall, the colors and smells make me feel very nostalgic , this image is celebrating it using my favorite fall colors~ Mother Nature changed her appearance with each season.. Behind her you can see the summer but she wearing already the winter coat…. / This is what I envision that she might look like during Autumn. Photo capture of a boardwalk through Sawgrass Park in / St. Petersburg Florida with the heat index was over 100 F. I was soaked after the walk from sweating so much…I always bring water to stay clear of heat stroke…next time I’m bringing a towel as well. Canon XTi using 55-250mm zoom f/5.6 at 160 sec. / /

This little creature was moving slower than anything I have seen before but I knew where it was headed, once it had started climbing up the garden rubbish from the demolition of the once upon a time jungle I took some photo’s this being the best.

Photograph altered in Photoshop 7 to create a ‘vintage’ look. This was my first attempt at adding my words to a piece. Sepia Silhouette An old photograph in his hand / Faded beauty in sepia silhouette / On a winters day long ago / Where love and loss first met Her eyes shone with unshed tears / As sepia leaves fell at her feet / She sang of the spring that was to come / As they strolled along the sepia street She was a mystery, ethereal / He knew she would not stay / For angels must move through the world / To sing the day to night In sepia tones, he remembers her / Forever young in his hand / A faded sepia silhouette / For never did he see her again © Alison Pearce 2009 After I wrote this piece, I actually had many questions about it, such as; - is she real? / - is she merely a metaphor for the season, truly nothing but a silhouette? / - is she someone he couldn’t be with for reasons not specified? / - And finally; is the term ‘angel’ applied to her as a reference to the mystery she seems to project to him? As he not only doesn’t appear to understand her, he doesn’t appear to even know her very well; yet, he can’t forget her.
