Hi all,
I would love to get some feedabck on some photos that I have done recently, but I can’t actually figure out how to add a photo to my post so you can see it!
Can anybody please tell me how to do this, I’d really like some feedback.

Thankyou,
Bindi.

Hello Bindi

Go to your image you want to post here – Right click- go to properties- highlight the url address to your image – copy it
Then come back to your post – click edit (or post a new reply) right click again and choose the paste option..the address will be pasted. Then either side put an ! (exclamation mark with NO spaces) so ! my picture address ! this should show your image.

This Link may also help with text/image formating and linking stuff in the future.

First impression: good! Nice subject, I can imagine it in a calendar or so :)
OK, to the details, or what I could do differently (and others may disagree ;))

It’s nearly dead-center composition. You may want to add some interest using off-center (rule of thirds) composition. On the other hand, your subject is more or less symmetrical, so central composition may work too. For that case, I’d try to put center of the flower precisely to the center of the picture (it is little bit to the right and down just now). I’d also try square crop: with symmetric composition (symmetrical subject), it often works very well; then see which format you like better.

Just next to the upper left corner, there’s a blown-out highlight. It can happen very easily when photographing subjects with water droplets, but a highlight just next to the border is usually quite a distraction. Different crop would help to solve this, too.

I like the shallow DOF, with sharp center of the flower :)
Hope this helps a bit!

Have a nice day and good light :)
