The horizon is the is the apparent line that separates earth from sky. At many locations, the true horizon is obscured by nearby trees, buildings, mountains and so forth. The resulting intersection of earth and sky is instead described as the visible horizon.
In visual art, the horizon line should not divide the art work in two equal parts but be positioned to emphasize either the sky or ground; showing more sky if photo is of clouds, sun rise/set, and more ground if a landscape.
Vote for the images that best display the composition of horizons. I would like you to show me photos of lanscapes, seascapes, cityscapes, etc, that have the horizon placed above the midpoint to emphasize the land, or below the midpoint to emphasize the sky.
Top Ten will be featured on the front page. Two non-placers will be chosen by moderator to also be featured!
AS ALWAYS:
Enter only photos with little or no post processing. No cards, no clothing designs, no words on photos, no collaging, no excessively post processed images please. If any of these are entered it is the hosts choice remove them without notice.
IMPORTANT: You DO NOT need to submit your photo to the group to enter the challenge. After the challenge has finished, the top ten and two honorable mentions will be asked to submit their work to the group then for featuring!
