Early snow storm (mid-October) fogged up the landscape and the wind was very cold in the valley at elevations around 2km. After about 30mins the storm was over and it was sunny autumn again.
Elbow Pass in the Kananaskis Country. After short and steep hike you arrive to the lake surrounded by rocky peaks and coniferous woods. The trail continues passing the lake towards wonderful valleys and small creeks (Alberta, Canada).
Elbow Pass is the mountain pass between the Highwood and Elbow areas in Kananaskis Country, Alberta, Canada. It contains Elbow Lake which is the headwaters of the Elbow River.
The pass is formed between Mount Rae of the Misty Range and Gap Mountain of the South Banff Ranges.
