I consider myself very fortunate to have grown up on the island of Maui where the remarkable beauty and diversity of nature and people have given me an endless supply of subjects to photograph. I became interested in photography at a young age and won my first award when I was just twelve. Since then, I have had my photographs included in juried exhibitions, books, and magazines.
Currently, I am a 21 year old, third year student at the Rochester Institute of Technology, School of Photographic Arts and Sciences, where I am studying Scientific Photography.
I am specifically interested in using my skills to promote an awareness of the importance of conservation of the natural world around us, particularly in my home state of Hawaii.
This portfolio reflects my journey thus far.
