Happy New Year - Shiny New Gear

Shiny New gear is more a term reserved for gurriers and tea-leaves that plague the Streets of Dublin…. for them a Happy New Year is scoring lots of shiny New Gear by ripping off the stores, house-breaking or holding up law abiding citizens. Either way you weigh it up I would love to see the scum elements rehabilitated with shiny new Napalm Bomb or similar.

Alas that’s where the rather unfortunate term has its’ origins.

For the rest of you I wish you all the very best for 2009 and a Happy New Year to All.

I am also looking for one or two people interested in co-hosting a digital painting group here. As far as I can see there is none and the so-called modern age painting groups are obviously not up to the computer age yet or otherwise habour the same age old snobbery that seems to for some odd reason stick with certain types as if theyir art is the only acceptable form and that indeed they are all budding grand masters…. Crap!!! Mind you there will have to be a minimal acceptable standard for admission of said work to the galleries…. pixel art for example is another discipline as far as I am concerned… so guidelines will indeedneed to be drawn up!

So – positions open, no fuddy duddy types need apply!!!! :)

    Heather Brown ...

I wish you all the best in the New Year too, we have a saying down south…”don’t take any wooden nickles.” Are you planning to release the Vid of you and your not fuddy duddy type painters? I would love to see it…so, you are still dealing wth the mindset where you are from with the elder artists too? Wow…the world she is still small and we still have so far to go too. Well, that’s our job, I guess…we have another saying for that down south too…”Molly, better get the mop!” That means we are going to clean up the place…with or without em’. Have the best of new years!
