Sleepy Hollow
About a week or two ago I mentioned to Rouble Rust an old photoshop painting I did that got lost on one of my HD crashes. I thought I had uploaded a copy of it someplace but could not find it…Kind of upsetting as I liked the piece.
So today I set about doing a new Sleep Hollow image to make up for that loss – but this time in Painter. And in one of my favourite styles.. impressionism.
Digital Oils on Coarse Canvas… Corel Painter X
Sleepy Hollow belongs to the following groups:
! * Irish Eyes * !, ABSTRACT DIGITAL ART AND WRITING, All the Colors of the Rainbow, Art By Bubble Hosts , Digital Brushstrokes (Max 3 per Day), Impressionism Café and Live, Love, Dream:

Very nice Zoo. I haven’t been able to upload a thing today. It gets to 90% and jams.

Had that problem 2 days ago… particularly if they are over 2Gb in size.
Switch to IE just for the time being… you will need to wait but you will get them up. I posted an annoyance image on the subjectd 2 days ago in my images… check there for more info…

wonderful Zoo and great palette xx
zooreka replied 22 days ago
Thanks Bev… The Palette was one I wanted to use to try get those Tim Burton hughes… This may still be oversaturated but I can live with it.
Had been meaning to to this piece in this way for a while though… I think the chat with Rouble just nudged me closer to actually doing it…

Yay!!!!!!!! I’m so happy you found it!!!!!
I must say I’m very impressive with this piece.
The tee and the headless horseman in the back are PEREFCTLY done. Ichabod Crane is very well done, I like that it doesn’t have many details but you can regonize him and the clothes are looking really awesome. Love the cold blue tones in the overall and the trees… ooh wonderful, so wonderful work.

This is not the piece I mentioned but a new one: Sad to sat it but the old one is gone forever.
Delighted you like this one though!

Oh I must say this too – I’m keeping looking at this over and over.
The tree with the headless horseman is warm toned and it’s just perfect with the all the other “coldness” of the image.

For me it’s still a little bit high key or too saturated for the tim burton effect but I will live with it. The original was much better tonally to suit the Tim Burton palette…
