You may have noticed that redbubblers are taking over the t-shirt world with numerous designs on competition and curated sites such as Teefury, Designbyhumans, Teextile (before it died), Tee-wolf. I am not aware of any fellow bubblers getting a Threadless.com win yet? You may know of one, if so please tell me about this success! I have seen a few entries here and there, but as far as I can see this could be the final frontier.
Zomboy currently has a an entry down at Threadless.com and you can help Zomboy out by voting on the remake of his design ‘hear evil, see evil, speak evil’. Any voting assistance goes a long way. So far this design has recieved approx 320 votes – there are still 5 days to go to vote!
For one week “Toast Busters” will be for sale over at Tee-Wolf Tee-Wolf is a relatively new site over in the UK hence all their featured designs are sold in pounds. Feel free to drop over there and have a gander – it’s always encouraging to see fellow familiar bubblers in new frontiers!
Hey check out Ashley Moore at work. He really brings something new to the t-shirt world. Soulkreed was founded in early 2009 by Ashley. His passion for his work really shines through as demonstrated in this video. Check out the size of the screens he uses!
The designs incorporate art, fashion, culture, music, mythology and spirituality. There is a variety of printing methods used keeping it true to form as an underground style of clothing. Ashley designs, prints and airbrushes all the work himself. From this perspective the clothing has a personal touch that is not easy to find these days. I decided to write the blog on t-shirt art and fashion since I am so keen on this as a creative outlet. Please visit the blog and have a read. There is some self promotion in there and also promotion of fellow t-shirt artists. However this is definately not what this blog is all about.
