Child's Play
I rode the train up to Seattle last weekend and had a wonderful time. This is all part of a perfect vacation and I wanted to share. The fountain is at the Seattle Center just below the Space Needle. These pictures are too small to post because I don’t have a good telephoto, but I hope they warm your heart as much as they did mine. I especially liked the little girl in the red dress. She ran around the fountain in circles waving her arms and shrieking the entire time. It was quite amusing!

Such great fun shots Zolton, there’s just something about kids and water. Makes me look forward to Summer too.

Which train did you ride? The Starlight?
Zolton replied
I took the Amtrak Cascades. It’s the same route. You been on the Coast Starlight? It’s a great way to travel, and pretty fast, too. They do need another food and booze car though.. ha ha.

I bought a 45 day pass and rode out west on several Amtrak routes: Twilight Limited, Empire Builder, Starlight, and Sunset across the south. I’ve taken other trips by train, City of New Orleans and a couple rides out east, and really enjoy them. Can’t take my dog though, so lately I’ve traveled by other means.
