1st Place
The shirt reads 1st Place Wurst Spellyng Compaticion
I typeset things for a living, but when I get on RedBubble I’m all thumbs. So, if you are thinking about stealing my crown… forget it! I will squash you like a bug.

LOL! I’ve done letterpress printing; I have a couple of old Golding Pearls and cases of handset type in my basement. I love typo jokes. :-D
Did you hear the one about the accident form? “Was the driver fober?” And someone filled it out: “Yes, but the printer wasn’t.”
A true story (read this in a printing mag): one of the university presses (forget which one) decided to try to produce a work completely free of typos. They set it up, then posted proofs on a bulletin board, with a pretty nice reward for every typo spotted. Well, the students liked that idea, and earned themselves quite a bit of cash. Finally, the press decided the last typo had been eliminated, and sent the book to press. Not long after they discovered a typo – on the first page! :<)
An acquaintance swears this is a true story; it seems plausible to me, but I wasn’t there and I have only his word for it. The company he worked for was having a lot of trouble with typos in material they produced, so the PR head sent around a memo reminding everyone of the importance of proper spelling. It was signed Whoever Doe, Director of Pubic Relations. :-O

Ha ha. Thanks. I was having a rough week on the blogs. Thanks for your story. I use to do a lot more preflight type stuff, but the job I have now is a lot of typesetting. Oh dear. Once I did a business card for a gentleman with the last name of Male. I accidentally put his email address as soandso@hotmale.com. Ha ha. Luckily he caught it in the proofing before it went to press.

LOL! Yes, and no one ever understands why you have to ask them to spell a common name, but if you don’t, that Smith will turn out to be Smythe. On the other hand, perhaps that mistake wasn’t just a typo – you could be on to something. Can you imagine just how many men would pay to have an email address at hotmale.com? ROTFL!

Cool work! And the comments conversations were pretty funny too :)

Thanks! I love hearing about typos. You should see some of the actual names I come across though. Funny stuff.
