Clipper Ship Indian Queen on black by

My vector drawing of my own pencil sketch which is based on Cutty Sark “Clipper Ship at Top Speed”

Cutty Sark has travelled across the world, sailing under both the Red Ensign and the Portuguese flag, visiting every major port in the world through the course of her working life. In admiration of her beauty and in recognition of her fame, she was preserved for the nation by Captain Wilfred Dowman in 1922.
Since then, the old clipper has been berthed in Falmouth and Greenhithe, finally arriving at her current resting place in Greenwich in 1954.

Hello Dennis and yes it has been a good rest for me, family have gone to Uluru and far too hot for me in Central Australia, so I thought opening 3 groups a good idea and leave the others for another week or two. Eye Strain was a big problem for me towards the end of last year and it seems to be alright now so less time on computer from now on.. Hope you had a wonderful Festive Season. Shirley

  • Hello Shirley :)
Another Christmas past……….. They seem to be flying by these days and I will be 70 in 5 days……..
    Mum was 94, 5 days ago :)
We had lots of ice and snow in Romania (I have never known such cold weather in all my life – reaching -23 last Winter and already -14 in Autumn this year).
We have animals (all ex strays) both at the house in the country and at the flat in town and it is a struggle (and sometimes impossible) to travel between the 2. We are going to the house today and snow is forecast for the whole of next week.
Christmas is not at all like I remember it but it still has a few high points.
    Best wishes
