My vector drawing of the iconic Bentley 4.5 litre.
Built between 1927 and 1931 and during this period claiming four consecutive wins at the Le Mans 24 Hours race, it forged the brands reputation. In one of these races Bentley finished 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th. These golden years did not bring financial success, however and despite selling 720 copies of the 4.5, the company was recession hit and had to be sold to the Rolls-Royce company in November 1931. Today the Bentley 4.5s with supercharger (Blower Bentley) fetch 1.5 million euros. For many, the 4½ Litre Bentley is to automobiles what the Spitfire is to aircraft.
