This is my digital painting of Warwick Castle using Andy’s brushes in DAP and colour and lighting effects in Gimp.
The original photograph is used with the kind permission of the photographer Iris Scherer.
Information from Wikipedia:
Warwick Castle is a medieval castle in Warwick, the county town of Warwickshire, England. It sits on a bend on the River Avon. The castle was built by William the Conqueror in 1068 within or adjacent to the Anglo-Saxon burgh of Warwick. It was used as a fortification until the early 17th century, when Sir Fulke Greville converted it to a country house. It was owned by the Greville family, who became earls of Warwick in 1759, until 1978.

Another very interesting digital painting Dennis. I like what you are doing, but I miss your graphite drawings.
Thank you Christopher :)
I love doing these digital paintings but really miss my drawings.
It is impossible for me to even get my drawing board from under the bed, at the moment (two and a half year old boys are very demanding) and it contains the rough plan of a castle that I started to draw.
One day it will be finished :)
