Patrick & Nino Sharing a Together Moment in Romania by

Patrick and Nino, 2 of our ‘rescued’ animals, at home in Barda, Romania.

We arrived home one day to find a tiny, unwanted, puppy had been left on our property in Barda Village, Romania and had taken over our large old dog’s kennel.
We asked all the neighbours for information but no-one had seen anything….
He was so adorable that he immediately stepped into our hearts and became a member of our group of already 10 abandoned animals.
Now a young dog he has turned out to be a truly adorable and intelligent member of the family who loves our 7 cats to distraction :)

In the very cold Winter of 2004 my wife heard a cat calling outside and looked through the window. It was a ginger tom calling to our ginger tom (Pepe) who was inside and had been rescued from the streets previously.
When my wife brought him inside she saw that he dragged both his hind legs and a visit to the vet diagnosed malnutrition. Since then Nino has been eating the best food (lots of it) and has become the best hunter in the house, although he is rather overweight and his body is a little distorted.
He has very ‘doggy’ feelings and would rather eat and sleep with our 2 rescued dogs rather than the 6 rescued cats.
When our latest rescued dog was very young Nino babysat and slept with him and now they are the best of friends.

Very cute. This Patrick indeed looks like my Sofia.

  • Incredible match isn’t it :)
We still haven’t got anything definite on his breed but he is a ‘Wonderdog’ to us.

He’s lovely is he part collie? I’ve got 3 dogs and 2 cats and one my cats loves my Ally and the dog gets down low on the floor to the cat’s level and just looks lovingly at him :))

  • Hi
We don’t know Patrick’s breed because he was abandoned on our property when we were in town but he certainly looks like Macca.
Patrick also gets down to cat level and because he was brought up by the 7 cats he has lots of cat traits like sitting on tables and window cills :)
