Micic on Nightwatch in Barda by Dennis Melling

Micic on Nightwatch in Barda by

Micic, one of our ‘saved’ stray cats during daylight, was in one of his favourite places on this bridge in the garden.

Micic’s History
In 2003 Gigi, the pet dog, found a tiny kitten eating food at the door and chased him away.

Mariana brought him back to give him food & milk and to send him on his way with a full stomach.
Micic is a beautiful soft and delicious cat with a huge vocabulary and after a quiet conversation, it wasn’t long before he had found his way into her heart.
After 2 years Micic decided that he no longer approved of being a permanent house cat and became a night time only resident.
Since moving to our house in the country he has the freedom of an enormous territory and rewards our goodness by providing us with lots of food for the table: lizards, frogs, birds, bugs, snakes, mice and rats. His arrival with the latest fare is announced by the most extraordinary call that brings all the other cats out to see what he has brought to eat. The unusual thing is that everything he brings home is still alive and well and he gives it to us in good condition so that, after a rest and food, we can release the victim on the next property.
Micic still loves to disappear every day but is still a No 1 cat for beauty, love, affection, keeping us warm in bed at night and his hunting prowess .

I have opened a shop with CafePress to sell some of my designs on clothing, iPhone & laptop cases, jewellery and lots more:

What a wonderful capture Dennis! smile I once owned several cats but alas due to this and that they are no more. However, I have two dachshunds who definitely believe they’re people, or perhaps we’re dogs, I’m not sure. Haaa!

  • Many thanks :)
All our cats are wonderful and I think that, at least the girls, think that they are royalty but they all have their own independent personality.
Our young dog (14 months) thinks that he is our child, the cockerel thinks that he is the lord of the entire village and his mate (Freda) just loves him to death :)

Our young dog has a vibrant and loving personality and just wants to love all the cats to death but they think differently and keep worlds apart :0
