Barack Obama - Change for America, for the World, for All of Us - The Audacity of Hope
Barack Obama – Change for America, for the World, for All of Us – The Audacity of Hope
On November 4, 2008, Barack Obama defeated John McCain and became the first African American to be elected President of the United States. In his victory speech, delivered before a crowd of hundreds of thousands of his supporters in Grant Park in Chicago, Illonois, Obama proclaimed that “change has come to America.” Born in Hawaii, Obama will be the first U.S. President born outside the contiguous United States. He also will be fifth youngest President at the date of accession and the second since Lincoln whose primary political base is Illinois. This portrait illustrates and epitomizes the audacity of hope.
President Obama was sworn in as the 44th President of the United States of America on January 20, 2009. Selected information courtesy of Wikipedia.

You ought to send your suggestion to the redbubble support staff, ze zhao…..as moderators are unable to change the way challenges work.
Personally, I don’t think late entries should be allowed….as much as I think a portrait such as yours is magnificent and could have won….but there will always be members who don’t submit their entries in time for many different reasons and we would have to keep the competition open forever….particularly with a large group such as ours, with over 1000 members.
I am running regular challenges in our group. In your “MY BUBBLE” area, look for the link on the left hand side which says “challenge events”. Whenever you come to the site, make it a habit to have a look and see if there are any challenges you’re interested in.
With work such as yours, I’m sure it won’t be very long before you’ve won a challenge.

Mr. Zhao,
I am so proud for you concerning Mr. Obama. It’s a great work. More importantly, an artist from the great country of China, has honored us all with a great work of art. Mr. Obama is more than just our next President, he is a world leader, a person who will bring us all together, and man who we all can respect, his time is now and you sir have created a great portrait of him. Thank you for your work, thank you for the respect you as a Chinese National have show not only him, but also all Americans.
The best to you and your family,
Byron Gates Jr

Wow! The amount of detail you painted into this picture is STUNNING!!! especially in his teeth, eyes, and the tear running down his face! I’m not crazy about the hair, but since that’s one small part, this picture is still quite amazing…
