Taken at the National Coal Mining Museum in Wakefield West Yorkshire.
The museum is based at one of the former working mines in the vast West Yorkshire coal field. It was one of the mines closed in the purge on the industry during the Thatcher government reign of the 1980’s.
The silence in the showers was palatable and I imagine a eerie contrast to the hustle and bustle that would have filled the room at the end of a very dirty coal dust filled shift.
I processed a single image in HDR Fex Pro 2 then resized in Perfect Photo suite using the genuine fractals engine.
