One day a friend of mine asked me if I could design a logo for their new company, which I did. She also knew my watercolours and my style so she asked me if I could translate the new logo into a watercolour painting. In other words, this is my first commissioned work. The original is sold in other words, she was very enthusiastic about the result, but I’d like to share this work with the rest of you and make it available as cards, prints, etc. I hope you enjoy it.

BEATIFUL art Peter ,and nice pastel colours too .It takes your eyes all the way to the horizon.nicesly conceived and executed

  • Wow, thanks Neophytos. So I guess this bottles down to: “don’t stop painting?” Because I’m not doing it enough at the moment. Didn’t finish one single painting last year!

    You are fantastic Peter. Congratulations.

  • Wow – thanks for the huge compliment Carlos. It’s a big boost to keep on painting! Actually, I painted yesterday for the first time in a long time. I started this painting in March 07 and it’s still not finished!

Love the idea, love the painting! Your friend is lucky to have a talented friend like you to design such a unique logo.

  • And I’m lucky to have her, because she put that tree in my head. She could see it before her eyes but was unable to get it out of her head, visually, so she described the basic idea of the tree and this is what I came up with. According to her, exactly like she had seen it herself.
Thanks for your great comment JanG.

This is to die for art Peter – you are truly gifted!

  • Wow! Thank you Suzanne.
But the good news is, you don’t have to die for it, you can just buy it. :^D
    Thanks for the incredible compliment.
