Artist's Description

Nostalgia trice over. First, unseen, the fact that this image was shot using a quite old Pentax-A 1:1.7 50mm. A lens, if I’m not mistaking, from somewhere out of the 1980’s. Secondly, inspired by the many excellent ttv shots on Redbubble, I shot this through the view finder of my old Mamiya 645. Finally, the “main” subject of the shot, 3 old cameras from my collection. So, pure nostalgia, trice over.

As usual ,I used my trusty Pentax K10D and my very own painted with light technique but with one thing different from my regular work flow. I decided to convert this shot into black and white using the Rob Carr method and giving it a silver gelatine finish.

For your information, this was truly shot through the viewfinder. No photoshop was used to get the 3 little cameras in there. This was not an easy set-up and down right very hard to light with a torch light!
