It was a grey, cold day in August with lots of fog spoiling or fun. It did, however, give this wonderful lighthouse a little “extra”.The Heceta Head Lighthouse near Florence, Oregon.

Really nice capture. Love the soft, foggy feel.
Thank you Nicholas, that feel is what makes me love this one shot too. Cheers
What a ‘sweet’ image Peter!!! The powerful sky & ocean…surreal looking buildings!! *-)
Thank you Deb, it was a magical kind of spot. And cold, for August. ;)
Picture Perfect :)
Wow, once again thank you and once again thank you very much for the fav, that makes three in a row!
This is one of the most scenic lighthouses I’ve ever beheld. I don’t know if one can still stay overnight there but I did years ago….one really gets away from it all at Heceta Head. You are right about the fog lending atmosphere. So moody with the stalwart lighthouse watching over the entire scene. Love this image!
Cheers my friend, and yes, I think you still could stay there.
