Another “postcard” from Japan. Okayama Korakuen Garden is considered as one of the three most important landscape gardens of Japan. A stroll through its ground is a tranquil and amazing experience full of surprises like this serene scene. The black castle of Okayama which can be seen from within the garden adds to its grandeur.

Love the very small splashes of light on the foreground rocks and the colours in the strong calm reflections are superb.

  • Many thanks Stuart, appreciate your comment.

The light conditions certainly were a challenge for this perspective and composition, but there is an even balance in the transition and in the exposure in both the shade and sunlight. Very cool. The reflection had the same challenge, but equally met! Double cool. Great photograph Pete!

  • Thank you Pete, I’m happy to see that you can appreciate this shot.
