this type of camera the old slr’s is what I started with seven years ago and I think it is a good foundation even for the students of today that want to learn photography. This is a great foundation. slr’s should not!! be forgotten.

This attracted my attention because it was a minolta camera completely wreaked. That what I wished had happened to my first one it was such a lemon, but what kept me here was reading the great piece on lighting, I am so trying this. Thanks for opening yet another door to my imagination. I think your work and Emil’s are amazing.

had to smile at your comment about “feeding the photographers” ... how true that is!!! My old Nikon 35mm is sitting in a corner waiting for me to come back … has such a hopeful little look in its one eye!!!! Bless it … and bless your Minolta … they were our pride and joy once …

Great image! This SRT-101 may be forgotten, but I’m still using mine… same lens too (along with a few others). Of course, most of my shots these days are digital, but I still frequently pull out the Minolta for fun.

I have a very old Minolta, (like the one above) and I just love to look at it from time to time. The lens’ have long ago gotten mould in them, but I remember the wonderful photos it used to take….........

Nostalgia is such a wonderful special gift.

What can I add that hasn’t been already pointed out! Just that for me this nostalgia is especially sweet, as this was my first camera. And though I went on to own Nikons, Leicas etc. – this was always my favorite. If I could have one camera back, this would be it.
