Radio Electricity
Another instalment in my Nostalgia series
It was created using my painted with light techniques, if you are interested in the details, here is an article I wrote about them. In this case I set the exposure to 15sec.
Equipment used:
- Pentax K10D with a SMC Pentax-M 1:3.5 28mm lens
- cheap flashlight and the camera set to auto WB which it screws up resulting in the nostalgic colours.
Available as a desktop wallpaper
Radio Electricity belongs to the following groups:
Just Brown, Mood & Ambience - Strictly Photos, Moody, Dark, Evocative (or MDE), Nostalgic Art and Photography, Object Studies & Concepts, PENTAX , Studio Lighting (2 images per day.) and Technical Photography Available for sale asGreeting Cards, Matted Prints, Laminated Prints, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints, Framed Prints and Posters

Another awesome shot of the deep dark sepia
Peter Zentjens replied
Thanks for all your time and interest in my portfolio SueAnne. I just want to point out that the sepia tones are obtained by “screwing up” the white balance of the shot. See my tutorial on the technique if you want to know more.

Aimelle

Peter Zentjens replied

Mark Philip V...
My fav of the nostalgia bit. I like bees. I use beeswax in encaustic. It feels less set up than the others.
Mark Philip V...
Also should mention that I like the “horizon” line, on the level of the insects.
Peter Zentjens replied
Thank you Remb, I appreciate you thoughtful comments. I must say, the others where meant to feel “set up”, but indeed, it seems to be lacking here, that feeling.
Georgiana (by ...
the colours are good. I got some good colours from my pentax recently too in Red Hat…I’m not sure what I did but I got very bright red and nostalgia! love the subject here too
Peter Zentjens replied
It usually means you screwed up the white balance, but just tell everybody that, like me, you did it on purpose. ;)
Thanks for the comment Georgiana
