Titanic Series No12. Titanic Studio by

The Titanic Studios, the largest sound studio in Europe built on the location of Queens Island, birthplace of the Titanic and her sisters.

Harland & Wolff was the largest ship builders in the world for decades, however in the decline in shipbuilding in the latter part of the 20th century parts of the yard were forced to close. One of these was the large paint shed where sections of ships would be painted before being assembled into a full ship like large oversized lego blocks.

When this building was emptied of a ship for the last time it lay empty for some years until its potential was realised as a large filming studio. Numerous holywood A list stars have worked here, and currently within its double skin walls is a full size castle set for the Hasbro tv series “Game of Thrones”.

In the background can be seen one of the large cranes of Harland & Wolff shipyard.

Taken on my Nikon D3100 DSLR and edited in Adobe Photoshop making use of Topaz filters.
