This was a bit of an experiment. I recently managed to get my dads old SLR lenses working with my DSLR, and this was one photo I took in a little experiment using an old Sigma super telephoto mirror lens.

It works, but its very difficult to use as it has such a small focal range, vibration and shake is also a huge factor at such ranges, and the colours appeared to be somewhat washed out. Im sure all just teething problems until I get to know it better! In the meantime, here is my first attempt at taking a photo with it, some hay bales from several fields away from the house!

Taken with my Nikon DSLR 3100 and edited in Photoshop CS5.

Exposure: 1/640sec
f-stop: f/8
ISO: 800
Lens: Sigma 600mm Mirror Telephoto Lens.
