The Scottish Highlands No.7 - United we Conquer by

Another in my series taken along the Scottish Highlands. This was taken near Ben Nevis, the highest part of the United Kingdom. It is a memorial to all Royal Marine Commando’s who lost their lives during the 2nd world war. The mountains and surrounding area was their training ground and today, this memorial stands guard over this beautiful landscape.

On the grass just below the statue is dozens of well kept private memorials to relatives and loved ones, who have lost their lives from the 2nd world war up to modern conflicts. One thing they all had in common is, they were all Royals.

Taken with my Nikon DSLR 3100 and edited in Photoshop CS5.

Exposure: 1/125sec
f-stop: f/5.6
ISO: 140
Lens: Nikor 18-55mm VR Lens.

Belfast born and bred photographer now living out in Dundonald, Northern Ireland. Concentrating mainly on Land and Seascapes, Macro and Abstract, my work is shot both in colour and Black & White making use of Adobe Photoshop.
