I have always found anchors facinating. There are so many different sizes and shapes and names. Just like people! However unlike people they are designed to spend long periods of time on the seabed tied to a rope and chain!

I have always found the shape of this particular anchor to be appealing. It is graceful yet purposeful and after being used a few times they all develop the obvious signs of use in the form of rust and scratches.

Taken one overcast afternoon in my usual haunt, Bangor Marina.

Belfast born and bred photographer now living out in Dundonald, Northern Ireland. Concentrating mainly on Land and Seascapes, Macro and Abstract, my work is shot both in colour and Black & White making use of Adobe Photoshop.
