I live in Northern Ireland and I must say, regardless of this fact, this really is a lovely shot of Belfast. (:
Romanticises the whole ship building era.
Thanks very much! I only took it a few hours ago this afternoon, was very overcast today so it could have been better! Got a nice reflection however so shouldnt complain!
Gorgeous shot Chris, love the reflections in the water !
Thanks Fred, the reflections were great that day. The water was like a mirror

Brilliant Stark image, love to see it in b/w!
Hi Berns and thanks! I tried it as a B&W and it wasnt quite as dramatic. Seemed a shame to loose the colours of the cranes and sunset. However I have some SC images im going to put up from the docks!
I believe in this the magic lies in the traditional yellow paint of Samson and Goliath; thus colour works more dramatically yhan monochrome, (but maybe that’s an ‘Norn Iron’ thing!
Definately is a Norn Iron thing, anything for a not so simple life!!

The yellow is what i remember as we go past in the car – love the tones of the sunset Nice POV !
I doubt many birds have flown into the 2 cranes, they do stand out pretty well! Thanks for the comment!
