There are very few times where the sea freezes over or snow lies so thick on the pontoons your feet disappear with every footstep. That is just what happened late December 2010.

For several days Bangor marina was so frozen over, some boats could not get out for the ice being so thick. Seaguls came in to land on water only to find themselves skidding to a stop. This is just 1 imgage I captured over that time.
