I took this image while visiting my father in the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast, a building of extreme contrasts. Some parts are so modern you can still smell the paint, others are original Edwardian structures.
The corridor in this image is part of the original hospital, from which all the wards were connected. Today it serves as access to the intensive care unit.
Being in such an old part of the hospital you could almost feel the ghosts sharing the corridor with you, and at the end of the corridor was a bright waiting area which I further enhanced to give the illusion of a light at the end of the tunnel.
Taken with my Fujifilm S7000 and edited in Photoshop CS5.
