Here we have a Royal Navy Merlin helicopter in flight in the Northern Arabian Gulf. It is perhaps not the most elegant looking aircraft that has ever flown, what I do like about it in this photo is how it reflects the light of the setting sun, a slight red, warm glow can be seen on its grey fuselage.

Unlike its American counterpart which has a rich texture to its body, this is clean but features a wide variety of equipment mounted externally for the eye to digest.

Taken with my Fujifilm Z200.
