Sometimes less is more. This photograph was originally taken in colour and after some considerable time spent editing in Photoshop there was something still not right. I tried altering the angle of the shot and increasing the contrast among many others. It still wasnt right. Then I decided to desaturate it to a B&W image and that was it made.

Simplifying it to black and white instantly made all the detail jump out. The dust on the tyres, the grit on the ground, the hedges in the background. Less is definately more. It allows the viewers eye to instantly fall on the car, to observe its posture. It is a roadster and it has only 1 purpose and that is to drive.

Taken on a Fujifilm S7000
