Another photo taken at the edge of Excelsior Geyser Crater. This shot is looking west at the quickly setting sun fading into the rising steam of Excelsior. Excelsior is a hot spring in the Midway Geyser Basin located in Yellowstone National Park in the United States of America.

Born and raised in the logging town of Snoqualmie, Washington (the logging days in Snoqualmie are mostly in the past now). I currently reside in Issaquah, Washington. My Canon Rebel 450D was a Christmas gift that has kept on giving me hours and hours of pleasure. I recently aquired a Canon 5D Mark II and I am now learning to use this awesome instument. I hope you enjoy these pictures half as much as I enjoyed capturing them!

cool shot
Thanks so much Ray! I get several very nice shots off in that one location. I was telling my wife I want to go back next weekend, but I don’t think she is game. I love that place.

wow, wow, wow… fantastic work, Dale!!! Your skills are awesome.
Ah thanks Sheryl. Time and place has everyting to do with it. My Western Road Trip will be a highlight of my life all my days. My pictures are just a feeble attempt to capture the magic of the trip and the west. Wish I could do that all my days……
