“What loneliness is more lonely than distrust?” ~ T.S. Elliot

This wonderful, abandoned, old and mostly restored barn has been the object of some vandal’s attention of late, as evidenced by the ten or so “No Trespassing,” signs on the property. This is really disturbing.

Photo taken near Monroe, Washington USA.

Born and raised in the logging town of Snoqualmie, Washington (the logging days in Snoqualmie are mostly in the past now). I currently reside in Issaquah, Washington. My Canon Rebel 450D was a Christmas gift that has kept on giving me hours and hours of pleasure. I recently aquired a Canon 5D Mark II and I am now learning to use this awesome instument. I hope you enjoy these pictures half as much as I enjoyed capturing them!

Great find, Dale! I love the shadows on the front of the barn – the colors here are really awesome.

  • Thank you Scott! You just can’t beat being out early in the morning and late in the day. The golden hour makes one a much better photographer than one actually is :-)

    Great barn Dale!

  • Thanks you Sheryl. It is a little lonley right now. I think the economy has affected the farms around here.

You got a great shot of it! Your processing is great too!

  • Thank you Pauline. I had to stick with this shot just in case the farmer really meant it and knowing my luck he would think I was the vandal!
