Born and raised in the logging town of Snoqualmie, Washington (the logging days in Snoqualmie are mostly in the past now). I currently reside in Issaquah, Washington. My Canon Rebel 450D was a Christmas gift that has kept on giving me hours and hours of pleasure. I recently aquired a Canon 5D Mark II and I am now learning to use this awesome instument. I hope you enjoy these pictures half as much as I enjoyed capturing them!

Great shot, and such a great illustration why we build bridges :) Is this a rail bridge?

  • Thank you Marjolein! It is a small road bridge, the original was replaced several years ago but when a historic bridge is replaced here the state and county try to replace it with a similar design to maintain the rural character of the area. This is all old farming and logging country here.

    What a gorgeous place. :)

  • Thanks Julie! What you don’t see is the Preston Fall City road at my back and the modern world zooming behind me and sparying road mist all over as I was working on this shot!

Cool shot, quite colorful for a winter scene!

  • Thanks Pamela. That red stuff is bambo shoots, they spiced the picture up a little! It was a short lived scene. By noon the snow was all gone :-(

Great image Dale! The flowing water and the snow tipped branches on the trees are beautiful. You do know I co-host a group that accepts bridges, stairs….? Its called Up and Over You might want to check it out. :)

  • Thanks Sheryl, and I was saying to myself, “where is a group that deals in bridges?” Bingo! Your a peach! Thank you!
