US Plywood’s #11 Mallet 2-6-6-2 rests quietly at the Northwest Railway Museum in Snoqualmie, Washington. This locomotive was built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in November of 1926. She began her working days as Locomotive #7 hauling for the Ostrander Railway and Timber Company, near Orstrander, Washington. She was sold in the late 1930’s to the Weyerhauser Company working near Klamath Falls, Oregon. She was owned by and finished her working days as locomotive #11 hauling for the US Plywood Corporation until she retired around 1959.
