This Black Capped Chickadee, looking like a bandit with her tiny black and white mask, shows off her little seed, which she promply flew away with and hid somewhere nearby. Taken on a snowy winter day in my backyard near Sammamish, Washington.

Born and raised in the logging town of Snoqualmie, Washington (the logging days in Snoqualmie are mostly in the past now). I currently reside in Issaquah, Washington. My Canon Rebel 450D was a Christmas gift that has kept on giving me hours and hours of pleasure. I recently aquired a Canon 5D Mark II and I am now learning to use this awesome instument. I hope you enjoy these pictures half as much as I enjoyed capturing them!
