XXX Root Beer was a huge Northwest favorite when I was a kid in the 60’s. Roll into almost any town and you were likley as not to find a XXX to quench your thirst with awesome root beer and fill your tummy with huge, tasty cheeseburgers. No need to get out of the car for all this goodness. You just parked and phoned your order in with the phone in your stall and shortly a car hop would bring a huge tray to hang off your window loaded with hot food and cold drinks. Now if that dosen’t make you nostalgic, nothing will!
This last of the XXX’s is located in Issaquah, Washington. The drive in part is gone but the root beer and cheeseburgers are as good as ever!

Born and raised in the logging town of Snoqualmie, Washington (the logging days in Snoqualmie are mostly in the past now). I currently reside in Issaquah, Washington. My Canon Rebel 450D was a Christmas gift that has kept on giving me hours and hours of pleasure. I recently aquired a Canon 5D Mark II and I am now learning to use this awesome instument. I hope you enjoy these pictures half as much as I enjoyed capturing them!
