Glass Chair
Assemblage of found chair and found broken glass, the city (San Francisco) is full of wonder. This chair was created from the idea of:
- making the functional into something nonfunctional
- combining unlikely materials
- representing the urban environment – glass and steel, soft and rigid, harsh and comforting, functional and visually stimulating
The chair began as a conceptual piece and happened to turn into something beautiful.

love this, can i have one? this would certainly keep the dogs off the chairs, or do you offer this to unwanted guests? dont often go for the conceptual stuff, it gets a bit ho hum, but this really “works”!

Very neat! I’m curious, you must have worn some protective gloves when you made this, yes? All I can picture is getting a lot of cuts making something like this.

Gloves were too cumbersome. I just had to be careful and patient, placing each piece individually.

i wish i had the sort of dosh and space to show your chair, but until i make my millions on etsy [ you might consider selling it through there, i have been looking at assemblage works for sale, this am] i may have to settle on buying a card of it. photographer husband loved it too! i have put a fav on it for now.
