Marin Headlands, just north of the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco, California
A four shot panorama. The fog adds a nice touch to this forlorn place of abandoned military installations from bygone eras.
It was 89 degrees as I headed south on 101. Coming down from Sausilito the fog was racing over the hills and shrouding the Golden Gate. The fog horns on the ships were booming between the hills as I took the Marin Headlands exit. Too much fog to shoot the bay so I continued on up the hill to “Construction 129” near the top. Here it was cool and so much fog that it was dripping off of the Moneterey Pines in a drizzle.
