The Cenotaph ( War Memorial) in Charlottetown, capital of Prince Edward Island, Canada, stands on the front lawn of the Provincial Legislature building on Grafton St., next to the Confederation Centre. The cenotaph was designed by G.W. Hill and was erected on July 16, 1925 to honour those who lost their lives in WWI. Later, wording was added to allow it to also memorialize those who lost their lives in WWII and the Korean War.

    Great shot!

  • Thanks Rick. It was just before sunset and I had been hoping to have time to take this shot all week. I jumped from the car with horns blaring and gave it one shot. Back in the car and throught the green light. I’m glad it turned out at all!
