Drawing from years ago when I was 15.Tim Buckley wrote a fabulous poem to go with this piece. He captured the spirit of the gypsy essence so beautifully, you’d think he’s got a little gypsy blood in him. :) Enjoy reading his work.
Tim’s fantastic work here

thank you kindly.
Thank you very much!!
Lovely drawing Y. Love the gaze in the eyes and her earring. At 15, wow!
Thanks Larry :)) It was a spirited drawing that captured side of me pretty well for the time. Funny sometimes I look at an old drawing and wonder “How did I do that?” hahaha sometimes you tap into wonder, but it does seem to have a mind and timing of it’s own. I really appreciate your appreciation! :))
Where will the road take me?I am gypsy in my soulits a life full of prejudicestrange how it makes me wholemaybe because Iam the breezethat blows in and soon is gone or maybe because in the gameof life men treat me as a pawnIll wear their dangled earringsa scarf upon my headand wear their life of freedomwhen the roads of life I threadIll carry all their crosseslike a donkey on the roadlike Ill carry all their secretsthe fortune teller toldbut now I paint my passagefrom the settler to gypsy soulI fall between the two of themLike a fish without her shoalBut still my eyes they sparklelike the soft smile on my faceas I take to natures wanderingslike the outsiders of my raceIll paint my life’s caravan with colors blue and brightlike the tent of sky above mewhose stars will light my nightIll curse and swear at any manthat pretends his love with meand bless my self with holy waterIn the name of the sacred trinity. For life’s a hard and dangerous pathfor in it’s crystal ball I’ve gazedthe nice parts I remember wellThe rest like a rainy summersI seem now to have erased
Wow! You were gorgeous then and you are gorgeous now. You were young when you drew this wonderful yet you managed to not only capture your free spirit in your eyes but also the wisdom you carry now. And Tim was able to capture all in this beautiful poem. Bless his soul and your free spirit Yvonca.Iris xoxoxoxoxoxo
