Artist's Description

At 14 weeks, I had a dream. The wind was howling and began bashing the front door open. I ran in my nightgown and threw myself against the door to brace it and press it closed. I strained with every muscle until I was spent. I couldn’t hold it. My body went weak into spasms, The wind came and took my baby.
When I woke, I had indeed miscarried.
Never to be pregnant again.
I drew this in the bottom of the well of grief.

Graphite, charcoal and acrylic on 20 x24" drawing paper.
postscript – I’m much better now. :))
