a response to Tim Buckley’s poem

enjoy making direct work from natural materials in my prairie and wildlife sanctuary.
i am a very restless person and I work in many different ways with a variety of media.
One cannot collect all the beautiful shells on the beach. One can collect only a few, and they are more beautiful if they are few.

I always love those “holy feet” which Hindu people have carved in stone as little places of devotion …. this made me remember it … love Tim’s poem too
oh I always love to hear form you Anna! Thank you so much.

This is one of your best works because you paint life from a different angle its so expressive and says so much the path taken the way one foot hides the other the detail on the material but its the cracks on the feet that take the time but they are the magic of this. The way of the lord is a rocky path with lots of trips to stumble on but if you can keep drawing like this something good is happening and I am happy for you
lol- it sure was a tough one to set up and photograph for reference! when I saw the cracks on my heels, my impulse was to pumice or edit. but I prefer to work in bare feet when I can- so I thought well- whatever. thanks for that input Tim.

I love how you render fabric…again another amazing work, full of meaning and a genius way of representing it.
Excellent!
fabric folds, curves, layers, undulates and makes for such great value studies,
yes -layers of meaning too. humility, openness, receptivity, vulnerability, seeking, intimacy, grace and reliance on the Lord for guidance and protection.
thanks and I appreciate your feedback.
